The nature of the work is focused on presenting and merchandising product to consumers. In-store operations including direct sales and service to consumers, product flow and stock replenishment, maintaining appearance of sales floor, or managing the employees who perform these functions. Band Level Criteria & Minimum Requirements: Overall - Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of business support staff - Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities with other supervisors - Decisions are guided by policies, procedures and business plan; receives guidance and oversight from manager - Typically does not spend more than 20% of time performing the work supervised Business Expertise - Applies management skills to improve efficiency and accomplish operational objectives within own unit Delivering Solutions - Identifies and resolves day-to-day technical and operational problems Impact - Is accountable for the performance of a team - Makes decisions guided by policies, procedures and own business plan that impact the efficiency and effectiveness of own unit and other units with interrelated processes Resource Management Role in Brand Protection/ Promotion - Performs work in support of brand plans; demonstrates link between daily work and company mission; participates in initiatives, program or products with low visibility - Ensures actions protect company image and limits risks - Actions impacting company image require management oversight and are constrained by policies Leadership - Sets priorities for employees to meet daily deadlines; develops plans to meet short-term objectives - Works within budgetary/financial objectives set by manager Minimum Requirements - Typically requires a Bachelors Degree and minimum of 2-3 years directly relevant work experience Note: One of the following alternatives may be accepted: PhD or Law + 1 yr; Masters + 0-3 yrs; Associates degree + 1-3 yrs; High School + 3-5 yrs Key Job Accountabilities Plans the work of employees with a daily or short term focus. Responsible for all aspects of managing a single small volume store Manage people, store operations and store environment to achieve sales, service, organization, customer satisfaction and profitability goals and maintain operational standards. Manage store's day to day revenue and payroll expense Manage associates, leads or Dept. managers and develop in-store talent. Responsible for communication and delivery of rewards and recognition for store team Work with District or Area Manager and corporate Loss Prevention to address Loss Prevention issues within store. Deliver a premium consumer and employee experience and implement/execute global and regional programs to drive business results Key Capabilities (beyond minimum requirements for L Band / Supervisor) Specific Work Experience 5 years retail experience including 1 year management experience Physical Requirements Typical Retail & Distribution: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to perform a wide variety of physical tasks which are generally basic, repetitive, and routine in nature. The employee may be required to sit or stand for long periods of time, in addition to being required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, push, or pull. The employee may be frequently required to reach with hands and arms, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel small and medium sized articles and packaging requiring them to exert force or lift up to 50 pounds. The employee may be called upon to distinguish colors and shapes requiring sufficient visual acuity to identify the various types of product they are handling for building retail displays, handling inventory, or other retail related tasks.
